Least invasive and yet most aggressive performance enhancement?
Dear All,
It's winter and I have been more lurking than posting lately. But with spring eventually coming back after this East Coast mess, I want to finally get my steroid treatment done. I checked the specific sub forum and couldn't find a satisfying answer, hence my question over here: I want to add as much hp/torque to my 2013 M10 as possible with the least amount of intrusion. As you know, I like my baby in sub stock condition, no wings no badges, ultimately stealth. Hence, I really don't care about any new exhaust systems, certainly not if they are producing any more noise (like it a lot on other peoples ///M cars but not on mine). What I DO care about is anything that get's me from 0-60 in under 4 seconds. Please help if you know where to look and/or what to get and do. Thanks so much. H |

Since 0-60mph is all about traction, maybe investing in some R compound/drag radial rear tires might be the most relevant upgrade to help achieve your goal. Any other real power upgrade will only make sub 4s 0-60mph times even more difficult. From what I hear, the BMS piggyback tune is the best bang for the buck performance upgrade.

Go with a cosmetic upgrade, at least you'll be a distraction to your opponent and in the worst case, you'll loose with the better looking car (which I guess is still a win - lol).

Thanks for the tip on the BMS tune, I looked into I and certainly extremely economic solution. But I was hoping to leave my exhaust system completely stock and was basically hoping for similar results (>620hp to the wheels) with as little as a different chipset. Not sure that is possible, I am obviously not an expert. Last edited by (H); 02-14-2014 at 11:41 PM.. |

It's simple really. You need more high quality rubber. Get some R Compound Tires, and some wider wheels to get more rubber on the back so traction won't be as much of a problem. BMS tune will do you good also.
