Before, After or After After - Which do you prefer (updated w/ 3rd option)
Boy, as I said, the modding is likely never to end ...
Before (stock 345M wheels): After (black powder coated 345M wheels): After more consideration (gunmetal powder coated 345M wheels):

I like them both. Black is sportier and silver is classier.

Should clarify: The after pic is photoshopped. I haven't done the wheels yet but I have that as next on the list. Wanted to get everybody's opinion (and then still decide otherwise ;-)

I agree with PhilT3, black is sportier. They both look good, but I was surprised that after I went black with the BBS wheels the brake dust still affected the look pretty quickly. I know how difficult the 345Ms are to clean, so a black powder coat won't help a lot in that effort.

I got my 343m wheels powder coated gloss black. I love the look, and makes the look a little more aggressive.

Honestly I never really liked the 345M wheels but with the black it looks so much better!

What about PC'ing them a Gunmetal color? I've done that before and it looks great -- and it separates your car from the rest of the black wheels. If you do go with black, I would suggest Satin, not Gloss.

How about the 08 E9X M3 OEM 18" gunmetal color?
I personally loved the M3's OEM 18 gunmetal color.

I personally wouldn't go black on Singapore. Don't get me wrong.., it looks sick. Just not the look I'd go for on the M5. I feel the lines call for more contrast. I like the idea of a dark gunmetal. I also think satin black is more fitting than gloss. Not sure why yet.

I prefer the before. I find the black makes the wheels look smaller. Makes them look tiny in fact.

I personally like the looks of the 19" rim over the 20. I would stick with the stock color. I went with 20s because I know those 19s will be a pain to clean. The 20s may be a better fit size wise. Btw, where is my car, should be here any minute.

(H) I usually am one to like the black rimmed look but with your particular set up I actually prefer the silver. It just goes better with your exterior color IMO. I also am a HUGE fan of the 345M wheels.

Silver. I love contrast. With black wheels, you always lose the aesthetics of the wheels. In some light it looks as if there are just black holes in the wheel arches. I don't understand why people want their wheels to be stealth. Maybe if your driving a police car. Although it does make it easier for cleaning purposes.
