When you stick the CTS-V right next to the M5 like that, the Caddy looks damn fugly exterior-wise and interior-wise.
I don't care if the Caddy is faster/quicker... I'd still take the M! |

Looking at that the first thing that came to my mind was " too much power " but credit to Cadillac where its due, this thing is going to win a fair few head to heads going by that spec sheet, No love for the polar bears from gm though which is good to see.

Looks good. It is a competor of the M5 but the M5 has been out for 4 years already. So natural the Caddy should be better then the M. I can't wait to see it in person

After driving a supercharged car, I have to say that they respond faster to the gas than the turbo, even these high revving turbos they have on the Euro cars.
I don't like the caddy styling, never have. The M5 styling is pretty good but it's boxy, what sets it apart is the interior, it's the best. |

I must say the front of the Caddie looks pretty mean. Every other angle is
The headlight/DRL are becoming trademarks. BMW have always had it with the angel eyes... but they need to keep up!

I think the Cady is one formidable ride, giving BMW M and AMG something to worry about.

Tell that to all the people who are going to go ape sh-t when they do a comparison - a comparison that the CTS-V should win. The M5 and CTS-V will never be on the same life cycle so they're basically going to trade punches with each other.

Well, this is a shot across the bow alright. I'd take the M5 regardless, cause the Caddy is fugly! Can't wait to see the next gen M5 and how it answers back.

I like the looks of the CTS-V and the performance is outstanding. Would love to drive them back to back. GM is finally making some progress.

The M is beautifully aggressive, and the caddy is aggressive in the ugliest way. Interested in the price delta between the two however. Could be 15 to 20k |

GM needs to learn a thing or two about class. Just because a car is high performance does not mean it needs to look like a Hot Wheels. This Caddy looks like something a shirtless Jersey Shore guido would drive around. So does the C7 Corvette. How can anyone over the age of 25 think this looks good?

Don't like the styling, but who cares. Bravo to the team at GM for throwing this out there. It's a nice complement to the market and a compliment to BMW for providing the inspiration. Hope they continue to one-up each other moving forward.
Now we just need wagon versions...

The Caddy looks so tacky, I like the subtlety of the M5.
The V puts up very impressive numbers but we all know there is much more to the ownership experience of a car than how much hp and torque it makes. One trip to a Cadillac dealer will remind you of this.
