Opti-Coat on Frozen Paint ?!?
i have been reading different forums and some say it will gloss matte paint a little bit, some say if its matte paint it will look like frozen and some say nothing going to happen!
what do you guys think? i am getting it anyway to coat my wheels, but would love my matte vinyl to repeal the dirt/water/bugs same way as metallic paint! |

If it's real frozen paint don't do it.
I have heard that wraps possible can support this because wraps are smooth.

I used 22PLE for my 991. Did the entire car myself, paint and wheels.
I believe opticoat is very similar (applying might be slightly different). In that case, I would not apply to frozen paint. This is some strong stuff. Wear gloves when you use it, and for applying I used car pro applicators with the fabric (taped it on). Worked well.

I agree with ddas use Swissvax opaque wax I used that for 2 years on my frozen silver M3 and it gave an excellent level of protection I also used the opaque prep spray and car bath.
Frozen paint is a doddle to keep up to, better than clear coat in my opinion as it doesn't show the swirl marks at all. |
