Performance Delivery and MA Insurance
Hi all,
Looking for someone that has taken delivery in SC and is from Mass, or any other state where insurance cards are not issued. In MA, our insurance follows the car and not the driver. My dealer is in the west coast so the performance center will provide plates. But how does one handle the insurance part? Thanks, John |

hov333,
I just bought an M5 from Century BMW in SC and am having trouble registering it back in Boston. Have you already done your permanent registration in mass? Maybe you can tell me how it was done then? Because problem I am having is that the dealership will only send the certificate of origin to the RMV directly, however the RMV is refusing the package and saying that only I can bring it into the RMV. Thanks. |

Thanks for the heads up blue. My dealer was saying they were to send the documents to a local office (our RMV). I've never heard of the RMV accepting packages on the driver's behalf. Please keep me posted! I've emailed my dealer as well.

Just got my car registered.... The dealership had no idea what they were doing. They sent the papers over to a RMV branch. They had to send them to the title processing center.
