As far as transmission goes, I am not really a huge fan of the DCT on the M5. I have always liked ZF automatics and they usually perform very well on BMWs. The DCT on the M5 made the car unpredictable at times with the clutch bike. Torque converters are more suited for turbo cars esp large sedans. DCTs are more suited for sports cars.

After three months of staying in the US and driving the M6, first few times of driving my X5M back in Taiwan I always forgot to get into "Park" before I turn off the engine lol.
