first time taking vehicle to dealership..
So I took it to Reeves Bmw here in tampa florida, for a seat belt buckle issue as well as my center console cig lighter is not charging...
Reminder under factory warranty. They want to charge me 300$ + labor for a buckle (that is safety issue, it will not clip in; when I brought it in) they found a seat belt sticky substances inside, and the fuse they want to charge me 1hr 170$... am I missing something here..... ?

If it was in fact damaged by some sticky substance like a spill, it won't be covered under warranty.
If you did not spill anything and it just went out, it should be

Is this your first time working with Reeves? They've always been hit or miss on how nice they choose to be that day. I usually stick with the Service Advisers and Service Techs that are part of the Tampa Bimmer club so I know I won't get jacked around.
That being said, if there is something sticky in there...a little isopropyl alcohol and get the sticky shit out, then take it somewhere else; no room for debate on if you caused the issue. BTW, you have any pics of your car? I'm wondering if I've seen you around.

I'm having the same type of problem...I bought the car with 6k miles (now have 12k) and I just started noticing the console buttons are starting to stick. I've NEVER spilled anything on them and I'm fairly certain the buttons where fine when I bought the car. They are saying it's not covered because they "believe" something was spilled...
