please evaluate this lease deal !
Dear members -
Before I upload my first post, I would like to thank many members for their invaluable tips and insights! Would you take a look at the following numbers and see if I can do any better? I am looking to lease the vehicle for 36m/12k mi Car - 2016 M5 with white ext and orange int. (I know the current M5 is a dying breed but i think the car itself is still a great driver's car!)
I know the residual went down a bit from October, 2016, but do you think I can shoot for $1100/M? what would be considered a good deal? Thank you so much!! |

I don't know how much inventory there is left on MY16's but there is nothing special about the price they gave you. Dealer invoice is the cap cost they quoted you so with the rebate they are making 1k above their invoice plus any dealer incentives or holdback. Market on these cars is very soft right now.
On that car you should be in the mid 90's to get a good deal. You should be shooting for 15% off MSRP on a MY16.

OP, the residual is not something you can negotiate;however you can negotiate on MF if you have the tier one credit but I believe you need to ask them the capital cost of below 100k. At 15% off MSRP your monthly payment would be at 10xx range... monthly payment of $1050 or below should be your goal for this car

I got gutted with mine, but I can't imagine any shopper willing to pay over 1100 on this car, and to be honest if you research the quality of the 63tu and DCT. I honestly don't know why anyones buying them new lol |

My payment is in the high $900 range and the MSRP on my car was $130K (thanks to a bunch of dealer installed options); but I did get to jump on the crazy late summer residuals, MSDs, and paid for taxes out of pocket. |

Also to OP,
Please be aware that the new M5 is set to come out in late 2017, so if you get locked into a 3 year lease with the out going model that's a long time to wait for the newest, baddest M5 that will be on the street. If I were you I would look for a 2 year M5 lease on Swapalease or Leasetrader.com Last edited by Greer; 12-26-2016 at 01:50 PM.. |

M550ix coming out in late spring early summer will be faster than f10 M5.... with all this happening wouldn't be surprised that 2013 could be had for upper 30s low 40s and 2014 will be high 40s

the m550 is only gonna be quicker 0-60 then the f10 m5 in stock form, if that and it depends where you read. the m550 will do 0-60 in 4.0 sec, most magazines show a comp f10 doing it in 3.6/3.7 which would be faster then that car all around. the m550 is only 462hp and 479lb tq. the only advantage is the awd. 1/4 mile the f10 will smoke it.

We have different ideas of what "highly modifying" means a clutch swap, tune and meth tank with some intakes and exhaust with turbos strapped on to me is more bolt ons to me lol I'd say around 1200whp is where you get into highly modifying and even that doesn't need dry sumps, etc. |

Dealers around me were giving leases on 2016 M5 with an MSRP of 125 for around 1050 width zero down and 36 months, 10k miles
I got a killer deal from a friend of mine on my car, brand new too new. He can lease you one, demo cars if you're open to it

With current residuals, a $125k msrp would need to sell at $95k. That would get you to about $1,050 a month including tax. MF for March slightly increased to .00140
