275/305
Some owners are fitting 275/305 tyres to their 21'' custom wheels, just wondering if at replacement time this slightly wider size but in 20'' can be fitted to the 343M's without any side effects like tramlining etc.

I only have the 305s on at the moment. After a lot of research and being told one thing and the other I finally decided to take the gamble. Best decision I have made. They fit perfect with zero side affects and gave me a night and day difference with traction when using the Michelin PS4S as compared to the 295 Michelin Pilot super sports I had fitted before.
Do it, you won't look back. |

Meaner still.
Thanks for the input guys, seems it's fine just to go with the 305 rears when I wear the 295's out and already thinking how nice they'll look elbowing outwards slightly improving the stance of the car.
As a matter of interest the rears on the new non comp F90 i test drove were 285. |

If you want real traction then go with the toyo r888r, these weren't an option for me in the UK with our ever changing weather. I don't regret my decision with the Michelin MPS4S, there isn't a better daily tyre for the M5 on the market on my opinion. |

No tune, just the ZCP and Dwaynos I hear you. As a FL resident, rain frequents us oh too often. I also believe the F90's come stock with 4S's now too. So, when I do turn the vehicle in, post lease term, I don't BMW haggling me about "you don't have manf. spec tires" etc.
I never floor first as well. I've yet to even test the tires with LControl. Cheers, H |

Don't be surprised if the 305s don't hold traction at first, once they've got a few miles on them they're ok. I was really annoyed when I first got them, I got the impression it made my car feel slower, it was spinning the wheels but the MDM traction was able to cut power in a different way, not sure the reason behind it.
Also a drawback of the 305s is that MDM is now very boring. |

Are the r888r as bad in the wet as they say? I might consider some next spring either way but don't want to get caught out on a wet day. Are your 315s on the standard 10" wheel?
