Also I couldn't be bothered putting them back on every year when its MOT time. I can see why people do though as they want to take the M5 to another level. |

Very impressive,I had a hard time keeping up with a tuned and straight piped aventador about a month or so back. Was just flashed and dp's at the time, but my clutches were slipping horribly I think that's what hurt me. We were also running an R8,but he was ESS supercharged as well so that thing was a damn rocket. |

I've had mine for about... 4 days and everyone and their grandmother is trying to race. Literally two minutes after I left the dealership.. I couldn't even count how many chargers and Lexus's tried to take me on. Other bemers know what's up. I had to indulge in a couple. I don't think people realize how quick these things pull on the highway.
Never realized the negative attention you get with a car like this. People are really weird on the road. Before I picked one up I just admired a nice car, doesn't matter what type but I feel like everyone is out to get me. Have never been pulled over in the city I live in. Not in 8 years. First cop that tails me pulls me over for no reason, I ask him why he pulled me over, and he just said have a good day. Ironically I drive slower on the roads than I did with my VW CC (great car btw) and really don't feel the urge. It's only been four days!!! Like I said people are just weird. Not going to push the car until I get my uniden r3 and still looking for a darn extended warranty, yeah I'm that crazy guy driving without one right now. Wish me luck trying to not give in, I hope I'm this zen come summer time

Just thought of another thing in that you could get your four exhaust pipes blackened, again for stealth purposes.
Anything is worth trying for an easier life |

I almost always see cars that I would pull with in my wife's car. Or they pull up next to me and the wife is in the car (no-no).

Never get this on my Volvo XC90 R-Design but as soon as i'm driving the beast everyone is a wannabe racer, even your old gran wants to race. It tends to happen mostly when i have the wife and kids in the car. I curb my urge and drive safe instead so i don't get a slap on my head from the passenger seat
Seriously do those guys driving Altimas and Civic and everyother poxy car think they can seriously take on the beast.... I think most of them just want to see the rear of the car and smell the smokes... |

I personally try to avoid all the cars that's not worth racing against. Here in the Bronx you get all kinds of idiots trying to race even people with mini Vans

Ok so creative Friday, whats the formula for setting the criteria to race these contenders?
Mine is:- 1/ Exotics - 100% 2/ Badges that read RS_, AMG, R_, 3/ With respect - other M cars

Standard 458 is claimed around 3.5..on a strip of clinically clean tarmac with maybe a sprinkling of hi grip hot rod rubber fluid methinks but under real conditions.. with worn uneven UK roads with a coating of diesel etc let's walk the walk, paper specs can be easily printed.

If you guys think about racing anyone from dig you'd be nuts!
These cars are designed for speed. From dig a standard Mitsubishi Evo would hold up against you! If you want to win a war, you need to be smart and have a strategy. I bait my rivals when I'm on the highway, where speeds are around 60 mph. That way, you'll be in the right speed at the right RPM ready to make a show. Things you'd want to race (if you're Stg2) - Lambo Aventador - Lambo Huracan (It'll be such an easy win) - Ferrari 488 - Ferrari 458 (It'll be such an easy win) - RS6/7 - AMG (E and S but not the C though) - 991 Turbo - 991 Turbo S - 991 GT2 RS - 991 GT3 RS - Z06 - ZL1 - GT500 - GTR (Alpha 6 and above) - Hellcat You get the idea. Almost all these cars will give you a hard time before you beat them.

Didn't know RS6s were competition on the road. I can see that from a still start but I didn't know it could pull like that on the highway. I was actually looking at one before I got the M5, but all really high mileage

Nah, they're not. Unless you're racing from dig. Be smart and know when to race.
