Eisenmann Center Pipes
Sorry for the newbie question here but I am thinking of getting the Eisenmann Race Exhaust with the oval tips. I notice it does not come with the center section by default and that is another 2500 or so. My question is what does that get you over the stock center pipes? Is the sound (why I really want to do this not really adding HP) changed by not having the center section as well? Also for about 500 bucks less than the Eisenmann without the center section I can get a full RPi GTS that also sounds pretty nice.
So I guess my question is if I am going for the best agressive sound what do I need? thanks for helping me get my head around it |

No need for the center pipes. The rear cans alone are much louder and more intoxicating than anything else out there IMHO. The center pipes delete the stock resonator, so you will get more sound (and possibly more drone - I don't have them, so can't say for sure).
I loooooove the car with the E Race rear cans only. You can always add the center pipes down the road if you still want more noise (unlikely). I've heard the RPI full exhaust and unless you are daring enough to go with their no muffler GTM option, the Eisenmann is a much better sound - again in my opinion

E race for the win. Mid pipe optional... Not much increase as stock pipes are plenty wide.

I think I've read that the oval tips require a new diffuser...just so you are aware. Haven't seen those in person, so post some pics when done!

Yes this is correct. They either require a new diffuser, or for the installer to trim the existing diffuser. Generally I would advise the latter, because if you want to return the car to stock you can always buy a new diffuser. However it doesn't make sense to store your old diffuser.

Thanks for the info, funny enough I had messaged Nate at IND with the same question and had not heard back. I actually am thinking might do the bigger circle tips now anyway but I am on the fence. I do like the oval look though but the large circles might look more aggressive.

The best looking solution would be 102mm tips with an angle cut, like the oval tips have. That's not a standard offering, but ask Eisenmann if they will do it for you.
There are two manufactures that I know of who make 100mm angle cut tips and they look perfect. I wish I had taken the time to ask Eisenmann to do this for me.

I have the e-race with the non-resonated center pipes. I did not have the opportunity to hear any setups in person prior to purchase. I listened to and watched countless hours of videos online, but no video can truly give you the actual feel.
If I were to do all over again (and definitely will , I would either go with the e-race rear section only, or maybe the e-sport with non-resonated center pipes. The current setup that I have is Very aggressive, but the DRONE is nearly unbearable from 1500-2000 rpms. I have found myself driving our Panamera GTS more often these days just because of the drone-- it has a wonderfully intoxicating exhaust note.... |

Stealth, do you notice discoloration on the eisenmann chrome tips? Mine turned a brownish bronz almost immediately. Most of it comes off with mothers chrome polish, but there is still an off color tint. This is my only single complaint for the E Race. Otherwise it's perfect!

I would think Chrome discoloration is warrantable replacement. Ask IND. Did you sell the Supersprint?
