I have no horse in the race but 3000+ for an air intake is insane! I had a debate a few years back about ugr turbo kits. There base kit is between 50-60k. Start doing the math on what the parts cost, add some money for development costs( a stretch for a 10 year old set up), then labor for install. I would bet they are making 20k on these kits and maybe more

i had bms just for the sound and I loved it. So many myths of air intakes especially "ram air effect" If i remember correctly if you put a tube in the grill feeding straight into the intake manifold you need to be going north of 120 to create 1 psi of boost, in turbo car the car is sucking way harder than the wind will ever be blowing, so any compressed air from a head wind is a myth. Heat soak isn't 100% a myth but like others have posted, once the car is moving the air under the hood is being turned over very quickly
