Check that power steering reservoir level.
I topped up my p/s reservoir now just a bit to MAX when at MIN. I changed the fluid 6 months ago only from the reservoir and I guess it's settled, so easy to skip it. CHF11S fluid is the top up.

Has anyone performed a flush of this system? Do people have a way of completely draining system (as much as possible) or do people just suck out the reservoir and refill a few times over?

The cleanest, but longest method is as you described. Suck it down, fill it up, repeat. I flushed mine over the course of an oil change interval. Now I usually suck it down and top back off when doing an oil change to help keep it fresh.
