AC Clutch/Coil
Hello,
I have a dead AC compressor coil/clutch. Does anyone know where to source a new one? I would rather change these items than the whole compressor, so I can keep it DIY. |

Reach out to the folks at FCP Euro. I have had great success with emailing them for parts. send the vin and year and sit back and wait for them to do their magic.

I ordered a proper one off ebay for about $45. Installing it is a bit insane...I am about halfway through. Unique to the M5 is the tensioning mechanism on the AC belt which involves the pulley on the vibration dampener. Odd choice to eliminate the standard bolt adjustment found on nearly every other car on earth. It is probably packaging related...but GEEZ! Since I am all the way in....decided to replace all the vanos actuators and refresh some of the coolant hoses since my car is high mileage.
