Windshield seal
Has anyone ever replaced the windshield seal/top trim? I have 2013 M5 and the old seal is 95% gone. I looked at a few sites for the f10 and the part 51317203121 is listed as the replacement, but when I installed today it definitely does not look like the seals on other F10 M5s I can find. It is very obvious and looks more like a universal trim piece versus being low profile/inconspicuous like the other seals on the exterior.

Pictures would help. I was looking at mine the other day because it appears as though my Dad's 535ix that he just bought doesn't have a seal there at all. Mine sits very low in the "groove" and almost looked like there was no way to replace without the windshield being removed. (I'm not saying that's a fact, just an observation)

The flush mount seal comes attached on the backside of the windshield, unfortunately anything you buy after its installed would be bulky and look more like older car rubbers ones which are replaceable. Unfortunately if you want the oem look you will have to replace your windshield.
