I suspect there's a long line at the Nissan dealer. And probably the dreaded markup on price, too.

Spring cleaning and each year I grab a shot to track what's new in the fleet.

These cars are NOT worth the markup, or the price that is sticker.

If you love them, you love them, but in that segment, an M2 will kick all of it's lilly livered butt, and the Supra, and the Z4 are all better buys, faster, and with better brakes.

Having spent ten years trying to properly re-brake a GT-R, don't let another Nissan under-braked car continue to sell without repercussions. Not trying to be a jerk, but can't tell you how much I spent trying to fix that problem.

Wife’s never had a problem with the ones she’s owned. Just normal driving, no racing.

Fully understand. Those who love them, love them. I drove my GT-R for ten years. 40,000 hard track miles. My F90 does the same times, for less money, more reliably, and better brakes. I was a Nissan Fanboi forever, but when put to the objective data, the competitor cars NOW are much better, at a similar price.

If you get her one, hopefully they'll maintain their price. I suspect they might because of the faithful, but I don't know. And I can't say the damn thing won't give her good service. They'll last forever, and easy/cheap to repair.

Just giving you my $0.02. But on a BMW board? You know the recommendation would be for the M2/Supra/Z4. There's some downsides there, but head to head on a track? It's a thrashing.

Appreciate your opinion. I said she wanted one. Didn’t say she was going to get one. I think she likes that it’s throwback looking like the original 240Z.

I read that it’s not a whole lot different than the 370Z except for the engine and the exterior.

Sorry dude. I was jumping to conclusions. Guess I've been married too long.

It's a Nissan. Built with one particular bent - lasting a long long time with the performance that they could manage out of the budget given. I've watched a lot of reviews on that performance segment. It's one of my favorites, despite having only owned one 2018 M2. Cool segment.

This car is a particular disappointment for me, as several others. The Z could have been a lot faster and the brakes could have been tons better. Other disappointments have been the Honda Civic Type R. And the WRX. These cars have evolved VERY little, while the performance of other cars has dramatically improved, with performance and braking performance AND safety, AND gas mileage. The Z is the best of the group on evolution, but I was hoping for more. Hoping I guess, my previous FanBoi commitment to be validated.

That’s okay. I guess I was a bit misleading saying “it would be her fourth Z.” I didn’t mean she was going to rush out and buy one. She mentioned it in passing and is not the type to spontaneously go out and buy a car because of some ad or commercial, though the new Z seems like it's been 'coming' forever. lol

I hardly ever drive the Exige to work because the conditions have to be just perfect, so I had to snap a pic this morning. Historic district BTW, not the hood. lol

Marienplatz has been in the city center of Munich since 1158.

Frauenkirche (church) was completed in 1488.

The BMW "M"740D was constructed in 2023.

The 3 engineering marvels met together on May 20th, 2023
(This was the car we rented for our 2 week tour of Europe)
