Changed plugs, coils, and injector still having misfire on cyl 2
So as the title says I’ve changed the plugs coils and the injector on cylinder 2 however I’m still getting misfires once the car idles for a little while. It’s starts fine and idles fine initially but then you’ll slowly start to hear it develop a misfire within the first few minutes of idling. I was able to drive it for however long last week it wasn’t until i would go to turn the car back on that the misfire was there but now it starts within a few minutes of the car idling. What could it be. When it’s really misfiring bad it’ll also say that cylinder 4 is misfiring so what could be going on with that bank? It doesn’t always say that though.

On my other car, also German twin turbo V8, I was also getting misfires over a whole bank. Plugs, coils, nothing fixed it.
Turned out to be a bad oxygen sensor that wasn’t even giving a code. Maybe check those, they’re pretty easy to swap out. |

Hmm ok I was just ordering a new HPFP and fuel rail sensor but I may as well throw a couple o2 sensors in as well

Good call I’ll go do that now. Should I just try both? Can’t I use ista to just view the values of all these sensors that way I won’t even have to touch them? But in feel like if a sensor was reading a weird number it would throw a different code that just a single cylinder misfire.

I would try both, you can do them in under 20 min if you have a thin walled O2 sensor socket.
I don’t think it would be if it was only one cylinder, but after you mentioned cylinder 4 as well it reminded me of this same issue I had. |

Last year I was having a fairly similar problem for my 2013, but the idle was bad immediately after start up. This was a few months after doing the coils and plugs. My issue was one of the high pressure fuel pumps. I thought it was the injectors at first. Your issue seems a little different, so just food for thought.
