Random thought/ Idea?
Sooo I’ve been looking at exhaust systems for a good minute and after a little research I’m thinking that , since I have a M5 Comp , I theoretically shouldn’t have the baffles in the exhaust.
With that being said, I really don’t want to spend 4k for a good sounding exhaust . 😂 My question is do you guys think just with downpipes and intakes , coupled with upgraded turbo inlets would sound just as good as a full exhaust say from Armytrix, Valvetronic etc. |

Downpipes alone will make your car louder. Depends on what you are looking for. My car is my daily and I leave for work at 6am so I didn't want anything too loud. My exhaust is stock other than high flow cat downpipes, and for me it's perfect. More turbo noise and exhaust rumble.

Downpipes sound great with stock exhaust and actually gives performance benefits where an upgraded cat back system will not. You can also set the valves in the exhaust to always be open in the options of your tune (assuming you have bm3) or wire the valves open manually. That gives a little more noise on top of the downpipes.
