Finally purchased and installed genuine BBS FI-R in 9.5x20 ET22 with Michelin PS4s 265/35R20 and 10.5x20 ET35 (10 mm spacers to make ET25) with 295/30R20. Superlight setup and aggressive design, really digging it

First thought for me is are they lighter much than the standard forged 343M's

They are lighter than the 343 and offer a more aggressive stance, being 0.5“ wider.
Here are the official weights:

343 9x20 11.20 kg vs FI-R 9.5x20 8.2 kg
343 10x20 11.70 kg vs FI-R 10.5x20 8.7 kg

So all around weight savings of 3 kg per wheel. That’s pretty impressive IMHO.

That's fine but as 1/2 inch wider wheels why not 275 and 305 tyre sizes to compensate.

First of all, the Michelin PS4s were already in my garage, as the buyer of the 343 only wanted the rims.
Secondly, I need to have them approved by the German TUEV and a 305 or wider will not work, due to the circumference.
I would love to run a wider tire, but the TUEV will not go for it and the Michelin tire certificate only shows 265 on 9.5 and 295 on 10.5!
Tuning in Germany is heavily regulated

I see . I have heard of things being 'TUV approved' but didn't realise it's that strict in Germany and of course you have the tyres already.
I'm not being nosy or anything but you had a previous black multi spoke set on also, that you got from the makers and I forget the make, you still have those?

You are referring to my former set of 21“ black Hamann Anniversary EVO, a very sought after multispoke and concave wheel. A friend literally begged me to sell it to him, after buying a M5. So I decided to support his build and use the money to finally obtain this super rare set of FI-R.
I still own a 3-piece forged 21“ Hamann Forged Race setup in 9x21 with 265/30R21 and 11x21 with 305/25R21
