Infinity Design Turbo elbows fitted and reviewed

Last week I took delivery of the Infinity Auto Design turbo inlet elbows for my F10 M5. I already had the amazing Infinity intake system.

On unboxing, you can see the quality is second to none, but this was to be expected, knowing the quality of the rest of the kit.

What was shocking however is what I saw after I removed the original turbo inlets and compared the two side by side! You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see how awkward and cumbersome the OEM item is!

Fitting the Infinity elbows was very simple and required no out of the ordinary tools. I removed the charge pipes to make life easier, but reckon you could fit the elbows without removing them.

Aesthetically they look beautiful and compliment the rest of the intake perfectly.

They would also work with any other intake system, OEM or aftermarket.

On the road, I’m sure the car feels a fraction more eager and alive. Only a tiny bit but I’m sure there’s an improvement! On boost there seems to be a little more whoosh/suction sound which is nice and the spool up of the turbos seems a bit livelier! The blow off sound also has a little something extra to it too!

Overall, very happy customer and can't recommend the Infinity Design products highly enough!

Pictures to follow (struggling to attach!).........

Spectacular review! Fantastic photography and this has me considering ditching my @rkautoworks CF intake for the Infinity Design setup. I do like the minimalist approach RK's kit took but your setup looks fucking fabulous! If Inifinity decides to release CF Charge Pipes I will absolutely be all in! InfinityDesign please make the charge pipes. I implore you, no; I beg you!

That looks great Rosco and you're right in that it's better than the OEM elbow which looks clumsy and awkward in comparison.

Great review! Where'd you get the cool hose clamps on the charge pipes? I want some!

I bought them when I had my supercharged e46 M3, from a local motorsport shop here in the UK. They are called a "Murray Constant Tension Clamp". I'm sure you could get them in the US.

I guess, aside from looks, you’re just adding weight lol? What performance or longevity benefit does this provide?

I'm wondering what, if anything, aftermarket inlets do to the torque curve...

I have no scientific or dyno based evidence, but the car definitely feels a little more eager and alive.
