Saw a truckload of these on the way to dealers today. They looked pretty good, probably much better when sitting on their own wheels. I didn't see much A6 in it. It has its own styling elements (or borrowed from the Interceptor concept car). Seemed much more butch than the A6.
While having chip-free paint is a good thing, this is not all there is to paint quality. In that respect, the video is misleading or at least falls way short. |

GUYS, watch the video again.
You can clearly see the Semi Truck is like 90 percent on the left lane, which is the lane the LS460 is directly behind. The Taurus was in the right lane, watch the wheels of the semi in relation to the center line of the road. The Lexus is clearly getting the most of the rocks here. They also chose silver for the Taurus which hides visual rock chips well, while white for the LS460 which shows rock chips much more pronounced thanks to the contrast with the layer darker layer underneath. Those Dirty Dirty people at Ford. |

Better? Do you mean as an overall car including the ability to retain it's value. Please name such a Ford.

I think there is almost certainly some shenanigans going on in that ad video but still, the Taurus is a winner. It looks good, drives good, and in SHO guise, is a decent performer. All that while being huge enough to replace your SUV as a family hauler. Not a bad job by the people at FoMoCO (the only domestic that turned down bailout money)....

I'm proud of them for being able to do so, but in reality, the only reason they were in that position was because they were in serious financial trouble about 24 months before the recession and had to restructure. Had GM been in the trouble that Ford was at the time, its very probable they wouldn't have needed the money.

GM started to restructure after 2005...... It just ran out of money to continue its restructuring due to the financial crisis........

Yes, the Ford GT is an excellent example of Ford's current offerings.

They definitely do. THere's a reason why people spend a lot more money for a hybrid version of something rather than the gas powered version (it's good for the environment and gets good mileage too).
