Silverstone II F10 M5 Spotted Again - in SoCal
BIMMERPOST NEWS Silverstone II F10 M5 Spotted Again - in SoCal While we're all waiting for its official debut, BMW continues testing FEP prototypes of the F10 M5. Spotted in SoCal, here are more pictures of a beautiful M5 in Silverstone II, a nice silver color with a light blue hue already known from the E60 M5. The previous Silverstone II sighting was at the Schipol Airport in the Netherlands. The M5 will feature a twin-turbo twin-scroll V8 with an output of at least 555hp (internal code S63) and -- according to latest reports -- mated to a 7-speed DCT transmission. Expect the M5 to make its first appearance as a concept at the Shanghai Motor Show in April with the production version being one highlight of the IAA Frankfurt this September. BMW will help us waiting by several teasers in the upcoming weeks and months, so stay tuned for all information you need to know. i love the comments of all the fellas who say they will miss the the v10 or find it a shame that the new m5 has a twinturbo v8. 98% of your driving is done on roads restricted by speed limits in the region of 50-70mph. at those speeds you will everything but miss the high reving v10 or regret have the torque at low revs of a twinturbo v8...

Seats??
Did anyone notice that the seats seem to be different than the current 5 series offerings. There is no gap between the headrests and back cushion. They look like the new 6 series individual seats but with the headrest wings. I hope they retain backrest adjustment.

I have Dinan stage 1 in my 07 335 and am very happy with the performance. No oil cooler in my car, nonetheless, it runs 20 degrees cooler. My warranty expired and the car is quite expensive to maintain.
As soon as the new F32 comes out I'll lease one. If you ask me, leasing is way to go. Yes you have a car payment, but headache. Anyway, I recommend Dinan S1! |

So far the F10 M5 is looking good!
The best thing from the E60's V10 is the orgasmic sound the motor makes. Sounds better than a lot of exotic cars.

How does one miss a 500 hp V10 when it is replaced with a 555 hp turbocharged V-8? Looks like all future M series BMW's will be powered by engines based on the production models with more boost and internals strengthened as necessary. The bespoke motors are history, and hopefully, the gas guzzler taxes as well.

No doubt about that....there really isn't quite anything out there that makes the noise the S85 does....but its not like you won't be seeing or hearing them.

i find it interesting that there are a few shots on various days infront of a house or residental area at night when these cars are suppose to be running 24hrs a day hahah. The engineers take shifts out of VPC so the car is tested 24 hrs a day. this guy is suppose to be driving and he is chilling at home watching dancing with the stars haha.
That thing is a beast. I wish someone would take pics of the inside!
