I would be willing to bet that it will not come with chrome handles and chrome trim around the windows, however I'm equally confident that the big ugly side gille will come chrome, but will be an easy swap. Just have it painted locally at the body shop, no need to wait for someone to even come out with it.

As much as I love BMW giving us a ceramic brake option, don't those things squeal like a bitch until they heat up? Unless you plan on tracking it (which is probably a lower % than m3 owners), most folks would be happier with the steel option as a daily driver. I bet the ceramics will end up being a baller option for most.

Also remember most people who track seriously don't use ceramics. They are $$$$ as they keep wearing out.

Hate the side grills.
Hate the chrome trim. Hate the color. Is the story that the black rims are going to be standard or what? Black polished rims with chrome trim... ?

Plus, braking represents the most consistent complaint on m car capabilities - the fade is rough. Given that these cars keep getting heavier, solving brake issues offers a big plus for some buyers - even those not tracking their beasts. I think they went at this car with solving the e60 problems: a. more fuel efficient than the v10 but also more powerful b. additional range by increasing mpgs AND tank size c. better brake option d. less bangled design. |

back brakes don't do much in terms of stopping power.. front brakes account for as much as 80%. |
