I think that is what he wanted to do. He wanted me to drive it around that way for a while and I told him I didn't need to because I had enough good data to prove my case so he said then to just reset it and I assume he means re-flash it. I hope they have a way to copy the map and restore it locally without having to download it at a snails pace from Dinan. It took them three hours to download it before.

I see your point but I think that the tech is willing to do HP based on ET because he sent me his preferred formula for that. Currently my ET's show no HP gain.

I will know more tomorrow and I am hoping for a positive resolution to all of this.

That would be good data to have. The nice thing about Vbox is that you can just upload the file to the vboxtools site and then post the results here for comparison.

So I went in and spoke to the tech and the parts guy who sells the Dinan stuff and the net is that a new DTronics module is going to get put in place of the other and it's going to be flashed with the code. They are replacing it under warranty and shipping the other one back to Dinan. So tomorrow I will get my car back with new DPs and a new DTronics and hopefully I will be able to get it out there and run it.

The programming takes about 30 min max.
If it took 3 hours, something was going wrong.
I have experienced a bad ECU brand new in the box so maybe that was what was taking so long.
Hopefully it gets resolved. If you have questions regarding the products you can PM me and I'll give you any information you need

So Elite Motorsports called back to say their dyno will be down for another week or two but that works out OK because I won't be able to drive my car again after Friday because I am going to take the Cayenne on a little road trip. So I will know more when we do the dyno and SW will dyno his which is a stock M5 with a CAI and no other mechanical mods. I hope to get some Vbox data tomorrow though.

Can't wait for your results would like to see what your car dynos before and after to compare to other vendors. Take care man and good luck!
At least if his turbo blows he'll get his covered under one of 2 warranties unlike if you blew your turbo with a non Dinan tune.

I apologize in advance for not reading all 10 pages....do we have documented dyno gains with the dinan tune? It would be great to have a stock baseline dyno number and then a dyno number with the dinan tune.

We are hoping to get that comparison in a couple of weeks.

Don't use catless downpipes. There is not an appropriate tune to reprogram the software for this change. You are actually loosing performance from the vehicle across the board.
Regardless what anyone on forums say, if you contact any performance tuner they will agree that to use catless downpipes to your advantage you need to reprogram the computer for optimal gains.

Lol my dyno results and race results disagree with this theory entirely.
I ran another F10 with catted downpipes and JB and my setup was clearly quicker.
With just JB, turner exhaust, K&Ns my car made 647WHP on 93 pump and 692WHP with MS 109 added and no adaptation and in 5th gear so only to 6k rpms (top speed limiter)! That means over 700WHP when revving out to 7rpms.
So I'm politely saying I don't think you know what you're talking about.
