He is German but has done painting like this in multiple places around the world....he has work in Ireland, Germany, London, Slovenia, and.....CANADA....

Was out walking with Wifey tonight and the moon was just about bright enough to capture with just a monopod. Still could have used a tripod to get better clarity.

what were your settings? I've shot a lot of mood while hand holding nice and clear, but i bump the ISO up a bit.

F16 was kind of high, you could have gotten away with 4/5.6 and boost the speed.

i usually try to shoot about an F9 area, allow for some detail on the moon, but not so much that i need to go super slow on shutter speed.

My original shots were at f5.6 (wide open on that lens) and all I got was a big white disk. Probably should have tried somewhere in the 9-11 range.

You could get a better shot Mark...I shot a similar shot (actually a couple a few days before the supermoon and then a couple on that night)..i used the following:

ISO 100, 300mm, f/5.6, 1/60

I will upload in and post it in a couple min....
