Good, to hear that you like the M5 so much more than the X5M. My M5 should be here in about a week and I will be trading my X5M back in too. I thought about keeping it but I only put 19,000km on in 2 years, so it does not make sense to keep it just for the winters and stuff that might require a SUV. Funny to think of the X5M as practical and such but I did haul a lot of stuff with it. LOL.

Are you going to paint [or have someone do it for you] the calipers? I'm thinking of painting mine red (or gold) when mine comes in.

I have the same car on order. I will leave them blue but if I were to paint I would go black. (and never go back)

Congrats, car looks beautiful. I ordered the same configuration and am taking delivery Sep 10.

Hate to ask this, but have you noticed the "clunk" problem in your car?

Hey. Question.
There is one picture of the door on the inside.
I see it has the memory buttons : 1, 2 and M
Whats the 4th button? Looks like a seat is drawn on it?

Congrats on your F10 M5, triple black is extremely sexy! Waiting for the break in period is the absolute wost isn't it?

If you go to the idrive setting menu, you can adjust the anti collision options (I have mine set to early warning). If your vehicle approaches the vehicle in front of yours too quickly, there is a red warning symbol that is displayed via HUD and dash.

Hehe, yep, i agree.
Thanks for the info i'll try and remember to try it out tomorrow.
I actually cheated today, i gave it a good go or two and this thing just flies.
a dude with an infinity G35( i think) was next to me reving etc, I let him go and then i pressed it hard through the first 3 gears. Holy smokes, the acceleration and sound it made, just incredible. I left him in the dust of course, just in a different league.
I immediately got goosebumps. what a feeling. what a monster. so glad i bought this thing, itls like therapy! hehehe
