I may have to go back down there just one more time to prove to myself that I'm strong enough.....

I met Chris as I was squirming out of there two weeks ago. I think they tried to use him as a closer. I hope they have nothing left in inventory. I'd still like to retire someday......

so why wouldnt you go with the powerkit? or the gt3! just imagine if the s is that good, what the gt3 is like... i bet with the extra 30 hp the 911s with powerkit would pull on the m5/6 on the highway, and from a dig, obviously. gt3 would be no contest. its supposed to do 0-100 in 7.5 seconds. theres a chance my deal on the cls63S 4matic may not go through, if it doesnt, im putting a deposit on a gt3. |

Thought about both options. Powerkit not worth it IMO. I love it as-is. Can get 30-40 hp pretty easy out of the car with not so expensive mods. And honestly, I LOVE the car. I have ZERO power complaints. It is not at all about those highway pulls and frankly, after I pulled on him initially, he stuck to me well and once the M hits the limiter the P is gone! All around it is truly a stellar driver's car. Easy to see why it eats the pants off the M cars on any related testing for that title. I was going to do the GT3 as well (not that there is ANY allocation left in the country now) but as cool as it is on the track it sucks as a car you will drive on the roads even moderately often. A turbo is a better choice for me and for anyone who might want to use the car for daily things similar to the M5. They hit the ground in December and likely I will have one in a year or so because of how impressed I am with this S. Although, right now, I have ZERO thoughts of trading it for a long time. |

A true beauty. I guess M is staying in the garage for a while.

the reviews said how remarkably easy the gt3 would be to live with as a daily driver. and how the ride was so much more compliant than the previous gt3! this is a big part of what would make me get one, as i would not take it to the track very often, if at all. here in canada we're lucky,(in this instance) - if i put a deposit now, id be 5th in line on the next deliveries which would put me somewhere around a march-june delivery which be perfect. (snow's gone in early may) 1st ones are arrivng in edmonton in november to customers. and they told me wont be charging a penny over msrp. so, a gt3 could be mine for about 5K above the price of an optimally equipped carrera s.
