Good to hear that DCT 100% confirmed from the horses mouth.
South, did they say whether this is yet another Getrag unit, or is that information not yet public? If its a Getrag, I am curious to see how they've beefed it up vs. the on in the M3 (and 335i/135i/335is/Z435is). |

They said it's a seven-speed double clutch transmission without giving further details.
Best regards, south

20s? really? I thought the M5 was supposed to be somewhat comfortable.

Overall i like it...the wheels will likely have the two stage paint rather than black when it goes into production. If you look closely at the wheel you can see how its designed to accomodate the two tone finish.

Is it just me or does anyone notice the difference between the 4th and 5th picture with the front view? Which proportion is the real one that we will see in production?

South, are those or are those not Style 303s? If so, then I still expect them to change by the time the production F10 M5 comes out. Those mirrors will probably change too. And it's strange that the you can outfit an M-Sport F10 with more aggressive side skirts from the factory than the stock M5's.
I think swapping the chrome gills with black chrome or gloss black will be one of the first things that people do. Those things look like the Infinite QX vents, which I'm not a fan of:

It looks fine but I really don't see much difference between this and the 5-Series M-Sport. I know this was similar in the last generation but the M-Sport followed M5. Now it's as if M5 is following M-Sport. Dare I say it, I think the M-Sport looks better. Still a great car.

Niiice! It has 6 pot brakes too! I like the subtle-ness of the car and I think this stays true to the M5 name.

Very subtle styling. I also noticed there is NO sunroof on the concept. Does that mean there is still a carbon fiber option in the works?
I look forward to the engine specs and performance reviews. It will be interesting to see how this $100K saloon compares to the CTS-V, E63, upcoming RS6, and even a Panamera Turbo. |
