Yes, the world record is a JB4 vehicle but that is a "race car". That is not a vehicle you will daily drive every day and think it will last you 3+ years. Even tho we build re-flashes with reliability and safety as our main concerns, we can build a re-flash for such a vehicle and with our knowledge of these ECUs, we should be really close, if not superior to JB4 on a race car. For sure has to have some type of backend flash. |

Yep, exactly. JB4 was great idea back in the day before flash tuning started happening but now, a proper flash is the only way to to go. F10M5Manual's 760whp build is more then powerful enough for a daily vehicle with weekend track in mind. Fact that he is running an actual re-flash instead of JB4 means the car will be much more reliable and consistent on daily basis. Anything over 800whp, though still achievable with a reflash, is just not needed, unless all you care about is a 1/4mile runs. |

Is there any way to limit torque in the midrange so the stock dct can handle 23-24psi on 94. Is there any way we can make usable power with the stock turbos between 6-7500rpm? Right now most of tunes limit boost to 22psi due to DcT limitations and power starts to fall off at 6200rpm whereas the stock curve holds power to redline 7200rpm....

That is exactly right. We also have mapped our Sport button to control torque output and this is the only way to do it. Having "On the Fly" switching ability is perfect for a car putting that much power down and something JB4 doesn't seem to be capable of. Quote:

So what kind of power can be put down at 22psi? or 20psi? on a stock motor? Is that a good level for longevity/ daily driving duties? I'm not sure what the stock psi level is at though....

That is correct, we can control torque using the sport/sport+/comfort settings. This allows us to limit torque output in comfort mode and release full torque in sport modes.
