Yeah boots I was keeping up with your M5 if not a slight bit faster on that pull we did. Fun times. My M6 has no tune with cat-back Meisterschaft.

A lot of good info here. Thank you for taking the time to test, document and do a write up.
I have been a loyal fan of BMS as it gave me exactly what I needed and expected. I've been consistently trapping in the 128-129 mph range and I believe I am the only m5 in the 160 mph range for 1/2 mile as of last weekend. My trap was 160.7 mph and the fastest M6 with same mods was 160.3 mph. We have also done 3rd gear pull against another m6 with Dinan's piggyback with me being a fender ahead by the end of 4th gear. Our cars are pretty inconsistent and weather/humidity plays a big role in testing. The best thing you can do is take it to the 1/4 mile track with two setups, two same cars and get your traps there.

Since I raced spinny on Sunday although he has a cp car I still believe the dinan is a more complete package.

The Dinan setup makes the car much much more consistent, and the change in DCT function makes the car significantly quicker. Like I said despite traction issues with the Dinan at the top of second gear I still had the fastest 50-70mph I have ever tested on my car with it ( 1.3 flat) in worse conditions than BMS tests. The throttle modulation and top end power increase with the return of instant DCT shifts makes it a more rewarding experience daily driving as well. Looking forward to the bump from stage 2 as well, but will test again this weekend when conditions are more equal to my last BMS test . I know it had more in it, just have to find the optimal shift points again. My half mile traps are limited by my ECU at 158.x no matter which tune I run on a 0 slope road anyway, but the Dinan gets there faster. I'd put my car up against anyones head to head same fuel same tire, same track .

Probably helped BMS guys get better firmware with all this info. Congrats to dinan for making a good solid product even if it is 4 times+ the price lol |

I think these findings are really good for Dinan, but I still don't see a large enough delta to warrant their asking price for their tune. IF they had a legit tune, I'd shut up, and pay up.

I couldn't agree more! I had a bitch of time getting the DCT to do what I wanted at the roll race at Pocono back in July. I miss my 6 speed manual for that.
