Had E60 M5 Jaguar XFR F10 M5 And now F06 M6 GC No problems at all, all you need is a set of real good Winter tires. I even go to the mountains with my car in the Winter for snow boarding. |

I have a winter set with the Michelins and no problem so far, carefully dealing with my right foot nevertheless.
I found chains in my local dealer. He was shocked when I asked for chains for a 245 size, he said they were not producing them for so wide tyres. He found them in the catalogue after insisting. Finally I took the risk of getting stuck somewhere and didn t buy them. |

Late to the party but just took delivery of 2016 M5 with Ultimate package. Dedicated winter wheels/tires and it is perfectly fine here in Winnipeg. We usually get a huge amount of snow each year and I have never had any issues with rear wheel drive cars. This is my 2nd M5 and 2nd winter in F10. Prior to that I had been in 335's since 2007. 4 BMW's in all and all have been rear wheel drive. If we ever get truly buried in overnight snow, I take the wife's X5 50i. Having said that; I have never been stuck in snow.

Once again, please reference the videos.
Although I don't think we'll have as many people starting the same thread and asking the same questions over and over with the next generation M5 being AWD. Lol!
