Nope, Warranty Direct have a great reputation of not paying out on claims. They'll not entertain the work being done by BMW either more likely they'll ask you to take the car to "Fred Flintstones - Specialist Car Services"

Stick to BMW in house Mondial even if you go for lower level of cover, warranty wise / direct etc all a wast of time unless you drive a ford focus

would this mod not void an AUC or Mondial warranty then? I had it booked in with PCW but read some real horror stories about engines dying and they all seemed to have had a 'tune' of some sort so made be a bit worried to touch anything just in case. a £30k engine replacement is not a fun sounding investment

Would I tune a low mileage well cared for known M5 - Yes Would I tune a 4+ year old M5 with an unknown history and mileage above 30,000 - No I think M5s are very tunable but as with anything unless you know its history and how its been treated then its a bigger gamble than one that's been looked after by an enthusiast from new As I have said before with M5s being available from £25K you will see a lot of the younger generation buying them and tuning them to 700+ BHP then driving them hard whilst not having the financial ability to maintain and fix them should the need arise. Finance is so freely available and people live month to month these days so its all about how much is it per month not what will I do if it goes bang and I have a huge bill tomorrow |

yep i agree. Im glad i got the mondial warranty though and will steer clear of any sort of mods. Its got enough power as it is. Though i have to say coming from a C63 (W204 520bhp) i do miss the sound but im getting used to it. :-)

You can open the exhaust flaps by remote and the car sounds a lot better Not expensive and warranty friendly plus it's pretty much undetectable Easy to fit too |

Welcome. I've had a E39 M5 for the last 13 years and decided to get the F10.
Just come back from a run to Scotland and as you'd expect , car was awesome. Still miss driving the E39 though. Biggest surprise was the great fuel consumption compared to the E39. I'm in East London too. |

Hi Mate, i'm missing the 335i, simple things like reversing out my drive way which is on a decline, the DCT requires some taking used too, the amount of times i end up spinning the wheels just reversing out
we should do a east London Essex meet if anyones interested, I have only had the car for 1 week |

Fuel consumption may not be bad considering the absurd performance but "great" isn't the word I'd use. Your E39 must have been terrible. |

Yes the creep mode right, its pretty good, but like i mentioned having conventional autos all my life then having a DCT does take some adjustment, especially as most of my driving is done through built up areas.
What is the consensuses on BMW warranty is anyone running these things without? I stuck a 1 year warranty on with BMW at a price of £995 |

Personally I think its money well spent. I can imagine plenty of the younger generation buying these cars for £25K and then skimping on a warranty and coming unstuck when anything goes wrong. After all they are £80K+ cars and are not cheap to fix. |
