It is a killer performance machine for sure, but "gorgeous" isn't the first word that comes to my mind.

Glad you are enjoying the performance, but to me the design is just too horrid for me to ever own this car. Seriously....look at the interior. It looks like a jumbled mess of random bits and pieces arbitrarily glued together with absolutely no consistency whatsoever in its design elements. Why? Why? Why? It just didn't have to be this way.

If your looking for pure performance there arent many cars out there better, but if your looking for a car with great lines and aesthetic (spell check) beauty, the GTR definitely is not it. NVM that it looks like a pig even though its crazy fast. |

Not jealous and there is no doubt it is a very fast car. I would go for a used GT3 RS personally. Or even a Z06 or ZR1. I am not a professional race car driver and laptimes while fun to attack is not my main objective. The main objective is to have fun and nothing beats a balanced rear wheel drive car in that department.

First of all, congrats on the new car. Take it to track when you have the chance.
On paper, GTR is better in many performance aspects. But I'm sorry, it won't have the excitement of 9k rpm redlined V8 nor it will have the sound track. It won't have the handling (what it has is grip), and it won't have the steering feel of a mid-engine RWD car... 0-60 time matter only when you get the car going, the rest (handling, steering feel, sound...) matters during the rest of the journey. Didn't see this post.. Seems you bought the GT-R to be the "fastest" Good for you, but i'd much rather own a Ferrari/Lambo. |

TO ME, GT-R is one of the ugliest cars out there right now. Then OP comes out and starts comparing it to a 458 Italia...are you kidding me?

The GT-R is a great car and I'm definitely enjoying it. Naturally aspirated V8s are done after this generation so no point in harping on that.
The GT-R doesn't have handling?! LOL! You clearly haven't driven one or rhode in one. How do you separate grip and handling? Are you saying that I can put R compound tires on an Honda Accord and attack corners like a GT-R because the car will have superior grip?! LOL!

Grats on the new ride. Enjoy it in good health.
I'd buy a GT-R as a 3rd or 4th toy, definitely not as my main toy and certainly not over an Italia... To each their own, but how anyone could rank a Nissan GT-R over a Ferrari 458 Italia (even performance wise) is so beyond my scope of understanding that even if I lived to be 150 years old, I still wouldn't understand. Yes, the GT-R is faster, but the Italia has something the GT-R doesn't and never will; A SOUL. |
