Come on, if EVERYONE goes in for slicks and Ham doesnt, where he does the first next pas and thus everyone passes him, thats not called a mistake, it's called a monumental mistake.
And it shows in the result. When you start at pole, when all your direct competitors are either out of the race, or have huge damage to their cars, when you don't have any mechanical problems, and still don't manage to win the race.....it's a mistake....of epic proportions.




unlapping cars inbetween in a sc situation is normal practice.
Not having unlapped all the cars is a disadvantage for SAI and the rest that followed. However they didn't complain. MERC did and their complaint was overrulled. Twice.

MAx won because he pitted for new softs.
Merc didnt because they gambled that the race would finish under safetycar, despite Masi having said the race before that he prefers results being decided in race situation. So that was a big fail in human understanding.
Everyone knew Masi preferred having the race not finish under sc.


Sending out HAM on white tyres at the beginning of this year, very funny to see him sliding every way; after race admitting another mistake....
And not being able to give Russel front spoiler adjustments in imola...I think that also shouldn't be the way it works....
I think they probably make more mistakes than I believe. In any case way more mistakes than RB and I can't come up with a single team on the grid that makes more mistakes than Mercedes. Strategic thinking is by far their weakest point and it is the main reason they didn't get the WDC last year. Baku and Hungary were 2 amateuristic mistakes and preventing those alone would have given them the WDC. It is thàt simple....

That's not innovation that is just very good design to manipulate air flow based on their own flow fields- if anything alpine's floor is more extreme. Innovation is coming up a never thought of idea, while exploiting the regulations and pushing technology to a new level. Design is improving upon an existing idea or concept. The redbull floor wouldn't qualify as innovation because it really isn't that ground breaking, sure it solves porpoising but they have the flow fields and data to solve it. One is creating something brand new, one is just improvement, and either way even if you count the bendy wing (might actually count - but other teams already had it just not to the extent of redbull), floor, and suspension it still doesn't come close to what mercedes has brought to the table every single year. So like I said before mercedes is still more innovative which was the whole debate to begin with.

Mercedes' protest to over turn max's win was overturned, the later investigations deemed masi to be out of line as he only allowed lap cars between max and lewis to lap.



That was the first race of the year on unknown tires. If you want to talk about those little mistakes redbull has done those too.

Well the gun didn't work for russel's wing, not merc fault there was a malfunction - that would be like blaming redbull for the crap reliability of the RB18.


If mercedes was so bad then explain why redbull weren't smart enough to box max in response to Lewis and left him like a sitting duck in spain.

Here you can see the importance of top speed; LEC can't pass Max on the straights with DRS.
He probably has to be touching Max' gearbox to do that
