Productive first weekend day with the M5.
Swapped start button for red (stock button text was wearing). Thanks Ickdeep for the video link! Swapped chrome side grills for gloss black. I think it looks a ton better Swapped chrome rear badge for gloss black. Next up, swap the front and rear reflectors. Then get the roof wrapped. |

Just installed these. shopped the RKP mcrae splitters for 6 months. decided i didnt like them but fang splitters were better than all the other lips that just make it look like a flat bottom 528 bumper.. so i dont understand those tongue lips and etc at all. it dumbs down/mutes the front silhouette
i lucked out on some possibly RW splitters that the distributor just didnt know what they were.. $140.. ebay.. fit perfect and looks good with the jutted step.. the rkp was too spoon-ey and pointy for me |

Epic failure of a day. Was supposed to be a nice long day working on my baby. The diffuser I bought was too small.. the vendor mislabeled it, now on to the back and forth.
But.. also tried to do my coils and plugs myself. Should have listened to my neighbor, guy comes to check out what I'm doing, he says "oh boy, I could never do that myself, good luck" Anyways all sorts of lights came on, yadah yadah, could be anything. Engine starts extremely loud, then shuts off with a drivetrain malf, could be anything.. DME, coil, spark plug, spark plug gap.. Going to take it in to a German auto shop near me, to embarrassed to call the dealer LOL I knew there was a massive chance of failure but I still went through with it as a challenge. Lesson learned, now hopefully I didn't f it up too hard.

Turns out it was a bad coil on cylinder #2. Replaced and she's purrin again. Sucks I dropped two screws, a bit and possibly my thin wall adapter in there. I'm gonna button her up and take her for a small test drive. Kind of anxious, but seems to be idling fine, I reved the engine to 5000 rpm three times, one time it didn't feel right. Only reason I did this is because I had a misfire on cylinder 4 once on stock plugs and coils with the bm3 stage one. I'll keep you guys updated in case something goes wrong but overall pretty happy. Thanks for the PMs too

Got a little tail light tint to kinda darken the car. Use promo code "PureM5" for 10% off.

But its a custom muffler delete. I took out the resonators from the middle of car and put them instead of the mufflers. Then got some burnt tip muffler tips from Ebay and had them installed. |

My warranty (technically, a service contract) is through EFG (https://www.efgcompanies.com/, Platinum version), but they do not sell direct to consumer. Only through dealerships. I bought mine from my local BMW dealer, but didn't buy the car from them. It's the second time I've purchased an EFG service contract. First was for my E92 M3, and that was well-used also
