Been driving my 435i + MPPSK, F82 M4 for years, also drove a friend's M340i multiple times(thanks him for allowing me pushing it), I could say that for performance and handling the M340i is no joke with it's factory LSD, much better than my 435i, and close to my M4. If you think M340i is not capable, you should test drive it. Looking at the huge jump from current 340i to M340i, I have very good faith of the G80/82 performance with the S58 engine. |

I also like the top article in the news feed today that the B58 is a winner of Ward's 10 best engines 2020. |

My M550... NOT an M car.
Doesn't sound like one Doesn't handle like one Has power like one. Looks like one at a first glance Looks like one mostly on the inside. I turned in my F80 M3 comp because it was too much of an M car and not a good daily driver where I live. M inspired cars put a smile on your face. M cars put an ear to ear shit eating grin. |

I know what I have and BMW knows what I have. A true M. I don't see Ford slapping SVT and Cobra badges or snakes on lesser cars. Nor does does Dodge slap SRT on lesser cars. Now if BMW starts putting a CS badge behind every M I will be pissed. Lol

You're missing the whole point that BMW GmbH anointed these cars and that it's a class battle between the German manufacturers and their performance specifications: M340i > S4 > AMGC43 and so on. M4 > RS5 > AMGC63 and so on. |

Based on his posts he's gonna need some therapy for a while. The big bad ///M sure has him triggered.

Sure they are, there's like 10 Mustang Performance versions of the car now, GT, Shelby GT350, GT500, GTR350R, Bullit, etc. ::yawn::

I'm still waiting for anyone to tell me why the specifications of a "true" ///M is light years beyond a track rated M340i? 30 pages and nothing, just feel, essence, perception and "bespoke" lol. Is it the 3rd party manufacturer parts? Or because it has 3 buttons that make you "feel" like it's a Porsche cockpit that A) "electronically" tightens the steering wheel B) Changes the dampening and rebound on the average M3 coilovers or maybe it's C) the Sport+ that really gets you hard as it flashes across the digital cockpit that just changes the gear ratios and turns off DTC. |

Regarding the Mustang Mach-E or vehicles like the Edge and Explorer ST, 100% yes, a lot of that is just badge slapping - especially since the Edge ST is very much the same as the previously named Edge Sport. |

Dezzracer had stated Ford doesn't put its cobra, svt, etc. on lesser cars to which you replied that they are because of all the different Mustang variants. That is the statement as to which I was replying to, saying that while there are some different variants of Mustangs, I agree with Dezzracer as only the actual high performance and bespoke models like say a GT350 or GT500 are getting those badges. Nowhere do you see a non Shelby vehicle wear the cobra badge. That is what I was referring to.

The GT500 is the top of the line, although the 350 and 500 serve different purposes, but some argue the GT350 to be more fun as a road car due to the manual transmission, higher redline from the NA engine, and better steering feel. |

Enjoy your car and dont worry about the car you didnt buy is my motto. There is no reason to validate your purchase in this forum. We get it....you didnt buy an M car for whatever reason but there is no reason to express your unhappiness with M owners who dont see things like you do. They spent the extra coin to own an M car and you didnt. All consumers should feel a satisfaction for what they buy. Even M owners. What's wrong with that? |
