Decided to hold off for now. I am thinking about keeping the 911 for now and place an order for the 488. I am all over the place, not sure exactly what I am going to do. It's about a 1.5 year wait.

It does look small next to the GL. It's so much lower than the 911. I think this car is only 4ft tall. Tech I think is the same as the 650s. I was really concerned about the IRIS but so far so good. Bowers and Wilkins audio is OK so far, may need to break in. 650S's power delivery is a little different more turbo like. With 570S, they tried to make it more linear. I felt the difference straight away. 650S didn't feel faster. I am sure it is in a side by side race.

I'm admittedly biased, as I have a 991.2 TTS on order. I have driven many of the cars being discussed here, including the Lambo and a Ferrari 458. What I find is that I wouldn't want to drive them to work occasionally, or certainly not all the time; they just aren't comfortable. At 50 years old, giving up comfort is not a part of my deal. I'm 6'1"/195lbs. With the 911 TTS, there is almost nothing (unmodified) on the road that is faster, it is extremely comfortable to take my wife out to dinner or for me to drive to work when I want, is the most reliable, and has the largest (for this class of cars) dealer network. I guess I'm old, because comfort and some modicum of practicality (crazy word to use with a car like this) is what I seek... This is just my opinion, of course...

It's almost unbelievable how people go gaga over this car. I have not driven it myself, but the looks rub me up the wrong way. The side blades in particular, irks me and the front is not very smooth. I guess I'm among the minority here.

It's amazing how good this car is at this price point. It's also the fastest car I've ever owned. Now mind you that my experience isn't as deep as some other people here.
