Not so fast. The I6 vs. V6 debate for the M3/M4 still has a whole lot of life left in it. For that matter the 3 vs. 4 and M3 vs. M4 debates for the coupe/cab are also far from over.
(But anyone not in denial knows it's going to be an I6 M4 ) |

Exactly that. While some purists may not approve of the X5M and X6M, the sales can't be ignored. It was the same story with Porsche when the Cayenne came out. The purists were up in arms, but Cayenne sales brought in the cash to keep numerous 911 variants going. If sales of the M SAV's help bring in funding for other M models, I'm all for it.
