I've been patiently awaiting your review of the class, thanks.
Not sure when I'll be going but I intend to use my one-day voucher towards the two-day event. |

Great review, thanks!
I was just wondering - is there anything similar in the EU? Would be interested in attending... |

I don't remember ever reading a post that long from the top to the last word.
Excellent write-up. Great job. Hope to be able to do it someday.

I did it last year, it was one of the first classes with the new m5s, they also got all new m3s last year too. Hell of a time and one of the best and most informative things I have ever done.

great write up. I went to a two course out there about 4 years ago and it was a blast. It wasn't the M school but still pretty fun. the skid pad is a blast.

I too was at this session and couldn't agree more with what Stealth said. I only have an M3, but I seriously thought about selling my house, buying an M5, living out of it, and borrowing friends houses for showers and bathrooms!
Stealth...enjoyed chatting with you at dinner the first night there. Glad you were ok after the little fender bender. Next time, check the Walkie channel before you tell everyone you crashed;-) |

So after these 2 days are you ready for the Advanced M School?

Excellent review! Especially like the M5/M6 comparison. This review has confirmed it, I'm in for the 2-day class! Thanks!
I did the 1-day M school specifically to "test drive" an M5 before ordering and compare to the M3. M6 was not offered during my class, instead we had the 1M. I was disappointed to learn I wouldn't be driving the M6 until my first lap in the 1M. I have to admit, the 1M was the most "fun" car to drive of the three. Of course when the day was done I knew I had to have an M5! |

The best review I've read on the M school yet. Thanks so much, it really helped me prioritize it more! I've been wanting to go for years...

I am planning to ED a 2014 later on this year. I am also planning to put the break-in miles and then do Nurburing as well. With decent retainability of the skills taught, seems like the M School would be good prep. For those who have done both, would you have liked to have done the M school before picking up your ED (when you may not have been as familiar with the model) or after having put some miles on the car?

I was there last week of november with my wife and did the 2 days as well but still had the 1m's.
I did get a ton of video and pics but i also don't recommend taking a go-pro. if im not mistaken the tires on the m5 are not mich pss. not sure about m6 they have a contract with contiential per Jim clark and contiental is in the process of buildling them a special tire. the only mich pss were on the instructor's m5. the sidewalls esp the front didn't look wide/tall enough . btw what did you get on the m3 auto cross ?

My auto-cross time was 22.4. There was a guy who did the M School before in the other group who got into the 21s. This was on a cold day with a damp track.
