I went "stage 1" with new stock plugs stock gap. Not a single issue so far. I have ran it hard and been in stop/go traffic. Drove 2 hours each way with the wife after I picked it up. Everything feels great and I dont have those sound panic moments. Car is a monster. I would say with someones car that has moderate to heavy clutch wear, they will experience clutch slippage at 650 wtq. I should be around the 600 - 620 wtq on a good day with no slippage. |

He doesn't partake too much on US Customer as his time is short being busy making Great OTS Maps for the Bootmod3 platform and also does his own Custom Tunes for Benz/BMW with his official Dealer Network all over Europe/Asia. PS. He just took Toyota Supra (new car) stock turbo record on dyno and also on 1/4 mile on 2 cars this week all custom tuned through bootmod3. Also, I flashed w. his Custom Tune on 2x F90's M5 in my area that are big racers and has won 2 DIG races on stock turbo no meth against 2 McLaren 570s (Tune/DP). Overall you can see many many post of him everywhere as he sets to achieve a balance hard to find these days : reliability and record breaking results when needed. Quote:

Personally I have AMS downpipes on my m5 and $300 brand on my M6 there is no difference, $300 fit o2 sensors and stock heat shield. I showed them to a tech at work and he said steel pipes are all the same, as long as the welding is quality your fine. Your meisterschaft ones are no different from ones that cost more or less and are prolly made in china with good quality insurance nothing more, but cost $1000 more so you can feel like they are better.

Stick with the OEM ones gutted. Fitment is best, double walled and best of all, they are already in!

I purchased my 2013 M5 with 32,000 miles last year in November. I added BM3 stage 1 tune, Soul muffler delete, project gamma intake, NGK 1 step colder plugs. No problems so far either.

Out of curiosity....
...Is the stock ///M5 not fast enough for you guys?!? How much power do you really need? It's already a monster off the lot. |

My old Audi A4 1.8T (nEvAR LoSes~!) was anemic at best, and I was hunting for a turbo upgrade off the lot. The S63TU is a beast and I'm amazed that so many people long for more power. Maybe it's because i drive a minivan with the family that keeps me grounded, but everytime i get in the F10, i'm just enthralled with the power. |

First was just turner exhaust, second time was with BMS and OFT and I gained between 5-6 mph trap from a rolling 40 mph start on a quarter mile track. I did put in a few gallons of 100 oct unleaded too, as well as changed NGK 97506 gapped .020 and new coils. Cars a lot different in my opinion. No hiccups and consistent for 3 months 2k miles so far almost daily driven. |

Would you say that it is more usable power in the upper RPMs? As soon as the boost kicks in for me, i can feel the rear end get squirrely and traction control kicks in. I really want to take this thing on a track day event, as I'm sure i would learn a ton more about the driving dynamics of this car vice the street pulls I've been doing.
I'm not trying to argue that a stage 1 upgrade is a waste of money, but rather, amazed that people have become "used to" 500+ HP/TQ. I know we're all on a forum about modding cars to our individual specs, so i have nothing but respect for all of you who are out there pushing boundaries of the platform! |
