I have the RK Autowerks diff mount on my car and it's been perfect. Using the stock bushing was the way to go. It rides just like the stock mount does without me having to worry about snapping/cracking the mount.

Went with the GAW mount. I prefer delrin over the stock bushing. GAW posted a video of the deflection of the stock bushing with just a screw driver and it moves a lot. DME Tuning has their completely solid unit and stated not much increase in vibrations etc besides a little differential whine which I can live with. I'll post up reviews once I get it!

GAW stated you nothing special besides a torque wrench to torque all the mounting bolts correctly. Also the top bolt is a pain to get off supposedly. They recommended a jack to hold the diff up since I will be doing it in my garage.

Did you ever get around to installing your GAW brace? If so, any feedback on it, good or bad? I haven’t installed mine yet but was just looking for feedback from people who have been running it for a while.

I have it on my m5. Looks like a well made piece and I have little doubt it does the job it is intended to do. However, with the delrin bushing, I can hear diff-whine and there is some diff backlash. These are symptoms I think you should expect. This is not ideal but I am prepared to live with these symptoms rather than go back to stock given that a tune I run intermittently makes well over 1000 nm

GAW went above and beyond for me in my eyes.I've had mine on for about 5k miles now. GAW was easy to work with, shipped out fast and had great communication even after. Mount showed up packaged well and included instructions. I had it installed by a local shop. After install I had louder then expected diff whine noise which I was not happy about. I thought for sure it was the mount itself. I contacted GAW, they are about 2.5 hrs from me and said to bring it down for them to inspect. I came down on a Saturday and they removed and reinstalled it for free. What would you know the noise was completely gone! It was in fact install error. When I got home I looked at the instructions and sure enough it's even highlighted where it states to adhere to these exact instructions or you may in fact get noise complaints. I have no complaints with the bracket and can't wait to get to the drag strip next spring!

Have had my German Auto Werks bracket installed for about 6 months now. I originally purchased it as was scared of what would happen if my stock one broke (axles, driveshaft break etc) There is a slight increase in differential noise (compared to oem) but nothing substantial in my eye and that is to be expected with a delrin bushing. I will be adding an exhaust system soon so I'm sure will no longer hear it. Also there is a clunk into gear from park to drive but again very minimal which is the driveshaft/differential tolerances GAW states. The slight increase in noise was worth knowing my bracket is solid and i don't have to deal with a oem bushing failing. I am very happy with the workmanship and their customer support. I installed myself and had a few questions, they were prompt to respond even on a Sunday when they are closed. Overall very happy with the purchase.

A friend of mine has the GAW - it’s loud. Loud enough that he wishes he got the RK.
I’ve been running the RK in my 800whp setup for over a year. Poly filled the stock bushing - OEM quietness with the piece of mind that you won’t snap the bracket. Best of both worlds! |

I don't know if masking the sound with a louder source of noise is what I'd be aiming to do. Something is going on back there and warrants investigating on how to mitigate the problem. Masking the sound seems like a treatment of the symptom not the problem.

I've installed delrin rear differential bushings on my e90 and E46 M3. Both of which produced some differential noise increase as well. There is no way around it when going from oem to harder bushings. But I'm after performance vs comfort and honestly the noise increase in my M6 with the GAW bracket is minimal in my eyes. After seeing some people have stock oem diff bracket bushing fail and the amount of deflection they have I chose GAW bracket. But to each their own. GAW/RK both seem well made.
