OE Tuning? OE is great. They do actual real tuning work. They tuned my E46 M3 with a custom base flash for a built engine with supercharger. Like a total rebuilt flash - not just modifying a few parameters. They are located in the same building as Benz Works in Huntington Beach -- who also does great work, my M3 is there right now while they try and troubleshoot a limp mode situation. Benz Works + OE Tuning is a great combo of mechanical + software.

The only thing is BMS Can tool that clears the cel but they stop selling it. Only way to get it is from a member who has it.

A little strange lately. Alex@Alpine and I have been troubleshooting. We think the tune and the BMS aren't jiving. Sometimes when I start it after it sat overnight, the car is sluggish. However, if I turn the car off and back on two more times, everything is fine. This has only happened after about 5 weeks of driving with both the tune and BMS. Alex is going to do another flash session soon, whenever I can find the time, so that we can try a couple of changes. If all else fails, we will just put it all back to stock.

I hope it all gets sorted out. I've been talking to Alex and Charles from Gintani for the past few weeks going back and forth contemplating the downpipe order. I don't plan on running the JB4, probably just Gintani's press file tune and the pipes.

BMS was first. Had it for a month or so and there were no issues. Had the tune completed and had no issues, as I said, until after 4-5 weeks or so. The weird part is that I can turn it off and on a total of 3 times after a cold start and will have no issues.

Im non comp pack as well. Gintani says that their tune removes the CEL. I haven't inquired about horsepower though.

So other than CEL elimination, is there any benefit to these modified press tunes over the stock comp pack tune?

That's what Gintani is saying. Hopefully I can provide some insight on the tune in the coming weeks after my DP's are installed. Might be a pretty good option for those who don't want to go the piggy back route like myself.

On my M6 stock boost ran strong, once I added BMS 3.0 boost increase I got misfire codes in fourth gear. Tried a couple more runs same thing. After I ran meth at 3 lbs no more misfire codes. Ran the car with 6lbs boost 93 octane 100% meth and no misfire codes.
I ran the car at the track ran the same with 93 octane and 100% meth between stock flash and DME flash. Going back to the track to run stock DME with 100 octane 100% meth and see my times. Then will flash again with same fuel and meth and go to the track. The main thing I need is top end, once I get that I'll upgrade to new DME flash again for testing. Will find the sweet spot after some true testing. The car does run richer from the flash. Air fuels get low 10's as the gears increase. Where before low to high elevens Car runs cooler diff is amazing and dct snaps your neck. Until I get top end limiter resolved and some more testing I will try the DME sogtware again.
