If you don't mind me asking, what mods did you get for your TTS to get to that level of power. I'm looking to mod the TTS a little as well.
Think he's referring to the Z07 not the porker

Miss you brother!
You are mistaken
Got it 8 months ago and lease ending 6 months and almost done with allowed miles!

Looking M6 Convertible now!

I test drove M6 non CP and man,
Way better than my CP M5! Hands down!
Almost 60-70% of the body roll I'm used to!

Sounded great too! Non CO but mine sounds better except for when top is down it's not fair to compare!

I went out brother and test drive the Ultimate Driving Z06 American Machine!
I gotta be honest it did eek out a lot of giggles of me! But it's to "visceral" and track oriented for me! And the fact that it's light didn't appeal to me! I couldn't feel I am one body with the car which is weird considering the spec sheet! I walked away impressed especially with its ludicrous sweet ILLEGAL?!! exhauste?!! Jesus Joseph and Mary; man!!! That's one sick exhaust POPs all over the place!! Blibs to your liking and a lot more!! But amazing enough I and my friend walked away as impressed as we were we knew that there's no Z06 in our future down the road!! It oozes cheapness!! High tech yeah!! Classy Heck no!! I believe I have the "Taste of champagne and the budget of beer" like they say! But hey Good job GM! And by no means I am not happy I test drove it because it is a beast!! Faster than my car and more capable than ZCP M5 heck yeah!! But it doesn't speak to my breed I guess!

Forgot to say
We've test driven the M4 (My baddie did) I politely passed
And he was underwhelmed (Me too) bad exhauste !! No pops No crackles! Ricy for sure ! Loved the mirrors though and front looks better than my M5 and possibly and overall better looking car but not the one we test drove as it was Convertible and lines are just interrupted at the back !!
Not as fast per my HIGHLY TRAINED BUTT DYNO not by miles but certainly shorter breath and less peppy and overall less impressive and less capable car! First time I liked it more than my car but was Non ZCP but this time M5 ZCP blows it out the water but might not be a fair comparison as my car has a sticker 120k for a reason I am gonna be sad to part with it, but part with it I MUST!! Because lease ending soon and end of lease residual is horrid at 72k with probably 40k miles on it?!! Who's do that?!!

They do. That wasn't asked. I didn't create the Corvette stigma. I merely summarized it. Don't let me jostle your gold chains. Just a messenger.

And I didn't create the Dbag BMW driver stigma. The difference between you and me is that I don't give two shits what others think of what I drive......and I don't bow at the alter of a certain brand. See signature line. Nice try though....didn't mean to pop your collar

I did laugh it....it was clever. I heard the comments when I owned my former Vettes. The same as I do now with the M4. It seems one needs to drive a Honda Accord to avoid hearing shit from others.

Just have to enjoy what you like. I drove a Mercedes SLK 350 for three years. Imagine how tough your skin has to be to do that.

I will take your advice and test drive one!
C&D rated it #1 with most of the won points towards pricing !! Against Porsche Turbo 200k and GTR Nismo 150K!!
And interior finish 8/10 LOL
That's because car and driver likes waving the American Flag. If you followed their guidance you would have a Cadillac and not an M5.

Z06 wouldn't beat those other cars in a British car magazine.

I write this having considered the Z06 myself. I found its handling to be downright scary and preferred the Stingray which doesn't handle any better but has the right amount of power for the chassis.

Here's one I would consider instead - the AWD Jaguar F-Type R 2016. You can get one for $80-85k new if you can find some left over 2016 inventory.

I have access to some 2016s here in Nashville. I'd love some more details on the deals you have been offered or are seeing on the Jags. I'm flirting with the idea of a change and I'm already familiar enough with the wife's 2014 F-type V8S vert.

thanks in advance. PM me if you don't want it in the forum thread.

Jaguar of Chattanooga offered me a 2016 for 85k a couple of months ago. It was gray with red leather interior, all key options but it had the standard 20" wheels. They still have it currently listed at 95 so you may be able to get that deal. Jaguar of Greenville has a couple of new 2016 R convertibles listed for 85 and 86 respectively.

I never owned a Z06 but I just traded my 2014 Stingray in for a 2013 M5 two days ago. The C7 generation vette is a huge leap from years past for sure. I think GM got the interior looking better but the car still had trim issues. I had 9600 miles on mine and the leather on the door started separating. The dealer ordered me a new door (over $1000) under warranty. The new door showed up and while the leather wasn't separating, the aluminum trim was separating from the panel at another location. They were going to order me another door before I traded her in. At 8500 miles or so, I got a chip on my windshield. I thought it was a rock chip from the road. Turns out it was a stress crack. It took GM over a month to get the windshield replaced because they had to ship 3 of them. The first 2 arrived shattered. The LCD display on the entertainment system started flickering around 8K miles and had to be replaced. It only took about 4 visits and recorded video of the flickering on my iPhone to get them to replace it. For a car with 9600 miles, she spent about 2 - 3 weeks of her life space in the shop.

Mechanically, she was good though. Im still getting used to the M5 but I miss the visceral, raw, deep, sounds of the small block V8. The sound was intoxicating and for the money, that car handled like cars costing twice as much. i think I still have some issues letting go of that car....

I can't speak on the performance of either car. However on the road I am much more impressed by the look of m series (even much older models) versus the Z06/07. I think they look too much like hot wheels or trying too hard to be "cool."

Not sure if you care about how you look in it or how it drives, but where I live currently there is a lot of drivers in that vette covered in shitty all-metallic wraps (don't be this guy please)
