I hear ya and because I only keep cars for short periods I really like to have them at my disposal. Id be going crazy if a car was gone for 1/4 of a year.

You are talking about engineering and I am talking about engineering + marketing+ sales ...
I know all of you guys are looking for 800-1000 HP, but just think about it...how do you want to manage to control a RWD front weight distributed car with 1000 HP? I mean for sure BMW engineers were able to design the engine the way you expect but to me it's not practical ...The HP war is not being applied everywhere
All in the tune boss unless your talking 35r or bigger turbos where spool would be awful for daily driving... 30R turbos would easily make 1000whp on just about any dynojet or mustang dyno you could find. And still could be tuned for good daily drive-ability.

My Brother ran 11.2 at 131mph in his bone stock 458. They move out.

There just seems to be so much conflicting data around all of this lol... We've got a 458 getting destroyed by a c7 z06, we've got a z06 getting in close races by an m5, we've got a 458 keeping up with an m5 lol its just all over the place...

Driver, conditions, etc.... that's why we have the street.


IIRC (didn't rewatch any of the vids posted in this thread again) the Z06 crushed the 458 because of a miss shift and then the 2nd run it was much closer. Or was that in a different thread? Like you said, its all over the place. One thing for sure, its nice to have fast amazing cars.

In the M if your not in the right rpm the vette and rarri will take you. You just have to pay attention to what your doing. I'll post up a re run against the 458 this coming Sunday after our country run. This time we will have a clear run
