Great question not sure how it works but it intercepts the fuel timing and boost signal at the tmap sensors and remaps to give that extra 2.2 or so psi. Best bet is to ask Terry from Burger Motorsports...

I ran a "press tune" car and too thought it was equivalent to CP tune

Gas mileage and pretty much everything is unchanged! It's only stronger after 3k rpms. No torque limits yet. I'm content with the power for now till something like stage 2 comes out...

Does the unit need to plugged in and ignition switched in order to communicate with the unit?
Mine is sitting on my desk and I'm trying to change to scaling parameter...but I keep getting a "can not find JB3" error. Using a Win8 laptop with Sabrent USB to RS-232 converter. Thanks, Tom |

They have a proprietary cable that you have to use with it. http://www.burgertuning.com/USB_Cable_Extension.html

Yeah I felt a difference. Today I got a drivetrain malfunction light and check engine grumbles before resetting the car then it cleared all systems ok and no code stored.
Still not sure what to do take it off and stay stock... Honestly it doesn't bother me. Last edited by M5Rlz; 12-10-2013 at 06:00 PM.. |
