Nope. There is no comparison, that is what I said about my ride in the cab. Powerful accel especially with the DP. The electric steering is far better in the 991 than the 2104 m6. I have not driven the comp pkg so I can't comment on that. Have you driven the 991?

Thanks Mike, Ill consider those wheels but monobloks are the first choice right now.

Yes , but I am tainted by previous 997 GT3 wheel time. I agree the non comp pack steering is not better . Now the 991 GT3 it looks like they got that really right .

And we have LONG established that there is no comparison between the two cars. My comments yesterday were about MY cars and comparing the differences between the two cars. It was not about one being better than the other. We can argue for three months straight about different things each of the cars do better than each other. Not sure what your point is. Do you think I was trying to argue with myself about which of MY OWN cars were better than each other? I might be a little nuts but I'm not crazy! Well maybe a little :-). I do appreciate your input and I'm very interested in driving that competition package M5. The way it spec's out it seems to be an amazing car! That was what I had originally ordered before canceling it to go with the 911. I had one coming that was completely loaded out ceramic brakes and all. I just decided to go a different direction. It's nice to have both kinds of cars in the garage. I figured I might prefer a little variety this time. There were a couple of times when I had two varieties of the same cars. It was okay but it's more fun this way. In any case I would like to drive one someday soon. Is that what you got? If so please post a good review of it.

Ha ha! I hear you George :-) but you really can't compare the 997's to the 991. It truly is a very well-rounded car. I can't even begin to describe how much I enjoy it. It's very sporty but it can be driven day today. I agree the GT 3 probably is the ultimate car.

Stop hitting yourself ! Lol
Seriously though I did not mean to insult your personal experiences , I'm just tired of people who haven't driven either car talking out of their ass especially about the comp pack . It really does make a huge difference in the driving experience and I would still be on the wait list for a 2015 GT3 if it didn't . The M6 comp was that much better than the 2013 I had driven in Germany with BMW on demand previously .
Best wishes Coldlist and may you enjoy life to the fullest !

Oh I didn't take it that way at all George :-) I agree that car is probably amazing. Like I said, I thought it was so cool that I ordered one. One of my main reasons for not going through with it purely was that I wanted something different in the garage than another M6 even though I knew it was going to be different in some ways. I just decided to go WAY different :-) Did you buy a competition package?

My buddy started shooting random video clips while we were headed to meet some friends yesterday. We weren't try to haul butt or anything. Half the time I didn't even know he was shooting. Just a little cruise on Atlanta highways. :-)

Vic you're classic and being from SOCAL I can appreciate the tunes. However I "dig" the Saturday Night Fever sound track. Being 44 my music is pretty diverse, and I have no visual of the disco era other than seeing moms with big hair, and make up. On my way back to GA, and will do some good drivng in the Pcar ....last week was M5 week. Need to hit the twisties, and take the girl out who wears a size 4, last week was the bigger size 10 (M5) for the ones that are not keen on women dress sizes.

henry Im a fan of SNF and the soundtrack--- trust me when i was younger there was a club in Hollywood called Club 70's and it was loaded with the ladies ... great music too. I went every sunday night- then went to college the next day with intense head pains LOL.

Right now Im streaming a station from the UK which is playing some really good 70's tunes.
