A few weeks ago another co-worker brought it up to HR’s attention and it was addressed. HR manager said that it was an awkward conversation having to tell a grown man to wash his clothes. He was doing great until today. It’s like he relapsed.

I had an employee that smelled and that was, by far, the most awkward conversation that I have ever had to have with another human being. Sounds like it might be time to let HR know again.

I'd leave an anonymous typed note on the table and optionally a coupon for a good soap and/or deodorant; buy some if you're REALLY inclined. If it's an armpit smell also encourage him to use hand sanitizer; it'll kill the germs that causes it to smell (that's what actually greatly reduced the severity of my armpit problems) But also consider the circumstances... If the poor bastard takes the bus, then encourage him to carpool or something with the contingency of taking a shower before he hops on, or if the AC is on too weak at the office tell the boss that XYZ has a BO issue and for the sake of our noses quit setting the temp so high ! Oh and if he's a heavier dude, losing weight and detoxing will work wonders.

Unless, this guy works at an iron welding or metal melting place, he needs to put his BO in check.

I've worked with a lady who smell horrible "that time of month." We were literally getting headache, and few of the people had to address that. Smelling bad is one thing, literally getting an headache is too far.

It's a corporate office. Guys 55 and lives with two cats. Today he smelled like one of the cats urinated on his clothes. The stench was so bad I had to step out of the office a few times . Oh, did I mention we share an office

This is more of a Third World problem, too. Maybe we need a separate Third World Problems thread.

We had a crop duster at our office. HR had to address that as well as someone clipping their nails in one of our break rooms

I once had a blind date with a girl and there was some strange smell....I thought maybe it was liquor but not really? She became my g/f and then I realized it was from eating a dish with garlic....

LOL, back in my barracks inspecting days, you would never imagine that 20 something year old adults would be as straight up nasty as some of these soldiers are. Some smells and sights were so offensive I had to leave their room.

I have a strong stomach too, and it takes a lot for me to get sick, but damn...

I want to call their parents and tell them their son/daughter is a nasty ass, and ask them what they taught them growing up because apparently they failed.

A 3 y.o. boy walked up to my 7 mos. old boy and slapped him in the head. I had to spend $8 to hire a kid to lay some wood screws under the mother's X5M, and another 20 min. running over to Lowes to buy the screws.

I just had a conversation with our Controller in reference to my smelly Coworker. Since it was already brought to Human Resources attention there is nothing else they can do. WTF? I’m thinking I need to have a one on one with HR again. I just don’t need my Controller calling me into her office for continuing to push this topic.

Only 83F at 8AM in Houston? Having a cool summer, eh? The summer I was there I don't think the temps ever went below 90F.
