It's great for charging your phone. I got a Pro Clip mount:
http://www.proclipusa.com/brodit-veh...458-12951.aspx And a phone holder with a charging cord: http://www.proclipusa.com/brodit-dev...170-18229.aspx I ran the wire through the seam between the upper dash and the center console back to the power socket. Nice clean installation.

Okay, hopefully someone can solve this for me.
When I turn off the car and get out, the radio stays on. The only way I can get the radio to turn off is by locking the car. My 2009 BMW would automatically turn off the radio as soon as I opened the door when the ignition was turned off. Is there a way to have the radio turn off without having to lock the car? Thanks |

Here's another one: When listening to my iPod nano and I select "random" to shuffle my music, I always have to select "random" again every time I turn off/start the car. Is there a way to have the car "remember" the "random" setting? |

Here's another one spelled out in another thread in the forums...
There is a small driver side glove compartment just to the left of the steering wheel. There is a small handle/latch that you will see right above where you left knee would be while driving.

Did you know that...
The rear seats fold down completely in a 60/40 split? I was wondering about this and only found the release lever because I was installing LED interior lights in the trunk. There is a release lever on each side just below the trunk opening: |

Can one of you tell me if the M5 does this with its wipers?
Switch on ignition without starting the car. Then switch it off. This should leave the car with power available to some functions, including the wipers. Lift & hold wiper lever past all click points till it won't move up any further. Hold in place till the wipers sweep across the windscreen. They should sweep twice. Once the wipers sweep across, they should stop in the vertical position, so you can fold them back off the windscreen, for cleaning/detailing. To return to down position, turn power on and click stalk down.

Also did you know that, you don't have to disengage the parking brake everytime you want to drive. Next time leave the parking brake engaged and then just step on the gas pedal, it will automatically disengage. This also works for reverse.
Also did you know that, if you are on an incline, and you let go of the brake with the car in D or S, the M5 will start to roll backwards, but it will only roll backwards for a few moments before slowing itself down and then it will speed up again and the slow down again, until you press on the gas pedal again to start moving forward. Pretty cool. It's much better than the E60 M5 hill assist function, where in that car, the M5 will let itself just keep building up speed from rolling backwards on an incline.

Heres another one:
While in reverse, the passenger side mirror automatically adjust down to allow you to see a curb. If you don't want this to happen, slide the side mirror adjustment switch to the passenger side and the mirror wont turn downward any more.

My MacGuyver input:
For those who have dark tinted windows and dont like how the rear and side view mirrors get too dark there is a small sensor in the upper middle of the rear view mirror. Cut out a small piece of black electral tape the size of a paper hole punch and cover it. You will no longer have the mirrors adjust as it gets dark. For me I do this on all my cars because I go dark on the tint and still want reasonalble vision at night. |
