Holy crap. That was kinda freaky this post and the: ** My Monte Carlo Blue F10 M5 Delivered. First North American Delivery Here ** post were like side by side. I though it was like before and after or something at first. Same color etc.

Amazed no one died. That's a BMW commercial right there for the new M5

Wow, incredible, glad to hear the people in the car made it alive, hoping for a steady recovery. Also, what a testament of how well this car is built, amazing passengers can survive such speed and impact!

Who cares about the dog, there was a 20 year old in the car.

I'm betting the dog had a seatbelt on (BMW safety accessory for dogs). It's the Deutsche way.

Speedy recovery to the occupants.

Can only imagine how his sons, who where following him, felt as they came upon their dad and dog after a wreck like that - or for that matter if they were close enough -witnessing it unfold. Glad one one of the sons had a fire extinguisher handy.

Speedy recovery to all ...

I'm not sure how you concentrate with a dog in the back seat. There's a good reason why his name is Lucky.

they were lucky the car did not hit any other cars or truck after the initial hit which he probably almost avoided. That way it could loose all that kinetic energy progressively. for 300km/h that car held better than one would imagine. Hope they are lucky with their injuries recovery too.

Let's not compare with the usa. having experienced both places over many long years i would say that if public driving was held to europeans standards 70% of people in the US would carpool because they could never pass a driving test even after 10 times. it would be impossible to have a no-limit highway stretch here because most drivers really don't know how to drive safely. You can only know this after you experience the level of discipline that is expected on European roads.

Hey, hope all the passengers have a speedy recovery. Hope no life threatening injuries. I got an M3 and I'll never take it for granted, that's for sure. The guy who cut him off, man I hope he saw these pics since he fled the scene.

Here's hoping every has a speedy recovery.

On a side note - just because you can go flat out on a autobahn doesn't mean you should. 300kph on a public road is bat shit crazy IMHO.
