160~165mph in a stock e90 m3-felt surprisingly solid
Scariest (moronic teenager) is a toss up between 130 in a s2000 and 145 in a mk3 supra, the latter had a windshield wiper pop off ***All of the above is theoretical of course*** |

Bone stock 2006 e90 16" wheels. About 2 years old.
Me driving, wife in passenger, son in back Brother in brand new STi. Mom and Dad in the back 125 going east on Victoria avenue over the Santa Clara river, lane 2. I lifted about mid-river, didn't' want him to blow something with the parental units in the car He has a poor history with new vehicles and him driving them inappropriately to failure of SOME part. We call him Moses because of that attempt to ford the Kern river in his 2-week old Dodge Ram. Transmission spilled fluid onto the exhaust manifold the next day, I had to pour diet Coke into the engine bay. Prove it, Sedan_Clan Statute of limitations? |

Four pages deep and not a single post about any of us being irresponsible. The self-titled "responsible" people must be busy today. Perhaps late getting to the party by driving the speed limit.

It's because we as BMW drivers are already considered infidels by the appliance driving, rule following masses who don't likely frequent this forum.

145ish on I-95 in Maryland. Didn't even have to try that hard to get there. Was heading down hill towards a bridge with no one around me so I stomped on it.
E92 M3 no crazy performance mods. ST XTA coilovers for suspension, cat-back, rest pretty stock. |

Ah, a Neutrogena guy, i see. There is no middle ground on this.
You’re the only person here who deserves to be called out for irresponsible behavior. I saw your posts about not moisturizing. |

You know, I thought this was the case when I took up my virtual residency here; but not so. I couldn't tell you how many times I've been called out on these forums by speaking of speeding or racing. I just assume they are all left lane dwellers. Left laners are the vegans of the highways.

Just over 130 on the back straight at Watkins Glen a few times, and about 140 on a Mexadirondak route. And on a related note: hitting 90 on studded Hakki's (they get quieter as you go faster, so it snuck up on me), and proving to myself that the cruise control will set and hold triple digit speeds.

I lived in Poland most of last year and drove all over Europe in my economy rentals, just about everything under the sun (Fiat, Skoda, Hyundai, SEAT). Police were non-existent in Western Poland and the infrastructure allowed for and was sufficiently empty for foot down driving for up to 10 minutes at a time. The speed limit was usually 140 kph in those zones. The fastest car I had was a Skoda Octavia which I got to 265 kph. I had the foot pegged for 10 minutes that run, no traffic no end to the straight road in sight.
It allowed for even more experimentation than the Autobahn. I always wondered how fast my S/C E92 M would go if I could peg it for 10 minutes straight. 210 mph? As fast as the gears would allow? |

No, it has been full blown track days - you have an instructor with you, but you go at your own speed for 20 minute sessions. Happy to host you at the next one if you want to try it out (weekend of June 6th), either to drive or just come and get some ride-alongs (the instructors will take people out during their lapping sessions).
